Hazardous Waste
On 16 July 2005
the Hazardous Waste (England and Wales) Regulations and the List of
Hazardous Wastes (England) Regulations come into force. The Regulations set
out procedures to be followed when disposing of, carrying and receiving
hazardous waste.
The new regime includes a requirement for producers of hazardous waste to
notify their premises to The Environment Agency. As a result Canford
Recycling Centre is registered with the EA under Premises Code NBI980 and is
fully licenced to receive hazardous waste.
