| Commercial Recycling Ltd Help Arena Business Centre Go Greener | ||||||||
"Much has been said recently about domestic recycling but now businesses are increasingly playing their part in the drive to go green, and the timing couldn’t be better. It has never been more expensive for businesses to send their waste to landfill so recycling is not only environmentally responsible, it also offers the most effective way for businesses to reduce their waste costs. The Ferndown & Verwood Business Forums have been actively working to help companies on the Ferndown and Verwood Industrial Estates to achieve their recycling objectives." "The project has been enthusiastically received and has begun to show exciting results. One example is Arena Business Centre who has been able to increase recycling by 50% while slashing their waste budget by half. Arena subscribed to the service offered by Commercial Recycling Ltd. This provides a combined waste and recycling programme whereby all recyclable materials, such as paper, cardboard and plastic, can be collected into the same bin, thus saving the impracticality of separating individual materials." For further information please contact Stuart Burley, Economic Development Officer at East Dorset District Council. Tel. 01202 862440 or Email stuart@verwoodforum.com or sburley@eastdorset.gov.uk |

| Latest Recycling Figures Released | ||||||||
Commercial Recycling Ltd today released their most recent set of Recycling Figures. The data shows that only 25% of waste received into the recycling shed at Canford ended up going to landfill. This represents significant progress in bringing down the tonnage of waste ending up in landfill, and with the construction of our new part WRAP Funded Picking Station Facility we aim to reduce our tonnages to landfill by a further 7% over the next 5 years. This bulk of this progress can be attributed to a significant investment in new recycling technology and improvements in processes with further expansion planned for the coming year. |
