Wheelie Bin Service FAQs | Avon Material Supplies

Commercial Wheelie Bin FAQ

Our commercial wheelie bin service provides businesses with a reliable and affordable solution for ongoing waste disposal. To help you to understand the service in more detail, below we have answered some frequently asked questions.

We cover all BH postcodes and the majority of Dorset. The most in-demand areas we operate in are; Poole, Bournemouth, Ferndown, Ringwood and Wimborne. To check availability in your area, please contact us.

We offer 4 sizes in our commercial wheelie bins, which are:

  • 1100L wheelie bin hire
  • 660L wheelie bin hire
  • 360L wheelie bin hire
  • 240L wheelie bin hire

The capacity of each sized wheelie bin is dependent on the type of waste being placed in the bin and how well it is compacted. For example, a recycling bin filled with broken down flat boxes will hold far more waste than the same sized bin filled with unbroken down boxes.

However, based on our experience the below estimations are fairly standard.

  • 1100L wheelie bin hire – 20 large bin bags
  • 660L wheelie bin hire – 10-12 large bin bags
  • 360L wheelie bin hire – 6-7 large bin bags
  • 240L wheelie bin hire – 4 large bins bags, similar to the average household wheelie bin.

We can provide different bins for the various types of waste that your business is likely to dispose of.

The waste types we can offer separate bins for are:

  • General/black bag waste
  • Dry mixed recyclables (paper, cardboard, plastics and tins)
  • Food
  • Glass

A multi-bin approach allows a business to comply with pre-treatment legislation and is often the most efficient and cost effective way to dispose of your waste.

Our most popular wheelie bin waste management solution consists of individual bins for general, recyclable and food waste. Don’t forget each bin type can be a different size to help ensure you are only paying to dispose of full bins.

The frequency of your bin collection is flexible. We can offer daily, weekly or fortnightly collections.

Yes, if you require your bin to be collected more/less frequently to accommodate seasonal demands this can be arranged (additional charges may apply). To learn more please contact our team on 01202 579579.

Yes, if you require a large waste disposal service for a one off event in Dorset, we can arrange a quote for your business.

Due to the variety of bin sizes and types on offer, there isn’t a set price. To arrange a bespoke quote, call us on 01202 579579.

All our commercial wheelie bins are made from strong, hardwearing polyethylene. This material means they are strong, durable and can withstand harsh weather.

When you sign up for our wheelie bin service, we will provide you with a sparkling clean bin. We can also recommend an approved contractor who can provide one-off or scheduled wheelie bin cleaning services.

There are certain waste types that we will not accept in our commercial wheelie bins. These waste types include liquids, electrical items and all hazardous wastes such as batteries, petrol, paint, oil gas bottles and more. If you are unsure if something can be disposed of in your wheelie bin, speak to our team.

Chances are that even if the waste type in question can’t be put in these bins, we will be able to provide another suitable waste disposal option for you. Call us on 01202 579 579 to discuss this.
