      Muck Heap Removal

As a responsible horse owner you remove droppings from your field on a regular basis, leaving you with the problem of an ever growing muck heap. AMS offers an efficient service to collect and remove muck heaps from your property. Using one of our grab lorries, all types of muckheap can be removed – be it just droppings, straw, shavings or a mixture of all three.

Our large 6 wheeler Grab Lorry can collect approximately 12 tonnes per load, whilst our smaller 4 wheeler Grab Lorry is ideal for properties with restricted access, and can remove approximately 5 tonnes per load.

      Budget Arena Sand

AMS supplies a Budget Arena Sand for horse riding arena surfaces that is suitable for both professional and private customers. The budget sand offers an excellent, cost effective alternative to silica sand, but like all surfaces does require a good drainage layer below to prevent it becoming waterlogged and susceptible to freezing during the winter months.

Our material can also be used to top up existing arenas, or to mix with rubber chippings should a mixed sand and rubber surface be preferred.

      Surfacing Aggregates

Well constructed and maintained tracks, yard and parking areas make life looking after your horse in the winter months much more pleasurable. Many people also use aggregates in gateways where horses tend to stand to stop muddy gateways becoming a problem, and to reducing the risk of Mud Fever in your four legged friend.

      Drainage Aggregates

Our aggregates are also often used in land drainage for fields and riding areas where ditches and channels are dug out and backfilled with aggregates to aid drainage in areas where puddle-ing and mud restrict winter time use.

The drainage system is the most important part of any riding arena construction. A wet surface will mean the arena is susceptible to freezing during the winter months and may be un-rideable after heavy downpours. Our aggregates are ideal to use during the construction phase and can be delivered in 5, 10 and 20 tonne loads.
