When it comes to renovating your home, it can feel like a bit of a minefield knowing where to start, and in most cases, your home will probably go backwards before it starts to look better again… how on earth are you going to deal with all that mess?
In this article, we explain how you can use our services to make your renovation a little easier.
Keep your home mess and waste free
Whilst we can’t help with getting paint on your walls or fitting a new kitchen, we can be there to help with removing all the waste that comes with a home renovation.
Whether you are doing a full home renovation, knocking down walls, or just having a bit of a refresh, the task of working on your home is not a tidy one. That’s why having a waste clearance solution in place before you start is essential. Here are some options:
Skip bag hire
The perfect solution for small waste clearances… our skip bags can hold up to 1 tonne of waste, and are suitable for a variety of waste types, including:
- Mixed waste skip bags – this could include anything from that old carpet you need to dispose of, to that dated wallpaper that’s been hung on the walls for 10 years.
- Rubble / inert waste skip bags – this is your bag if walls are getting knocked down!
- Plasterboard skip bags – replastering a room? You’ll probably have some old plasterboard that you need gone… this is your answer!
Skip bags start from just £40 and we can deliver them straight to your door and collect the full bag once you’re done.
Too much waste for a skip bag? We’ve all been there, and trust us, there’s always more rubbish than you think there will be when it comes to renovating. This is where skip hire comes in handy.
Much like our skip bags, we provide our customers with various options based on the amount and type of waste you need to dispose of. It’s much more cost effective to go bigger as opposed to buying multiple smaller skips.
Waste clearance… done. What’s next?
You’ve got through the hard bit and the mess is out of the way (phew!), so now it’s onto the fun part… and we’ll leave this to you and the professionals. So how can Avon Material Supplies help now?
Need a new driveway?
Ever heard of curb appeal? It’s quite simply making the exterior of your property more desirable to potential buyers. So if you are renovating your home to sell it, this should really be a consideration. Fortunately paired with suitable aggregates, AMS Concrete is ready and waiting for you with ready mixed or volumetric concrete to give you the perfect driveway.
Many of our customers commonly use type 1 limestone or scalping’s as the base for their driveway then tarmac on top, or they may use our concrete to bed in the edges and then install the base and tarmac or decorative stone.
Ready to move onto your garden?
This is where our Dorset aggregates really come into play and our Topsoil Alternative is our most popular product for garden renovations.
Sometimes all your garden might need is a bit of new turf or a general refresh of your lawn and flower beds. We have a handy guide to using our topsoil product which you can read here. Typically it’s used for the following:
- Lawn restoration
- Flower beds
- Improving drainage
